I believe one of the most important things we can do is provide a positive impact on people, whether it be an internal client or external client. I have spent the past 11 years fulfilling many roles with Nova Scotia Power. Throughout my career I have achieved personal and professional success by continually challenging myself to explore opportunities and growing my network. I believe in engaging with our communities and being active in volunteering and fundraising initiatives and the positive impact this has on me as a person, and the community I serve. I have been involved with United Way Halifax for the past 11 years and in 2018 Co-Chaired the Emera United Way Campaign. From 2009 until 2017 I was the lead on the annual Christmas Adopt A Family raising funds and hosting events to raise $1500-$3000 providing relief over the holidays to families and continue to support in a non-lead role.This year I co-chaired an event gathering over 900 pairs of warm socks, 10 new cots, 24 sleeping bags and $1000.00 for new boots for Out Of The Cold- Emergency Shelter and worked with a community partner to arrange their new shelter be painted- free of cost. I am exceptionally hardworking and self-motivated, I am strongly committed to my community and the organizations I partner with. I am not afraid to take on challenging situations head on and manage them until they have been resolved. I enjoy running and spending time with friends and of course, a good glass of red.
