I joined the Government Property Agency - an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office in May 2018. As a Client Manager, I manage the GPA's relationship with Cabinet Office and a growing number of other Departments and Agencies in line with the growth of the GPA's Portfolio. My role for the Departments I work with is to understand their priorities, ensure GPA delivers services that meet those priorities and improve customer satisfaction with GPA services. My previous roles were in Local Government. I joined Nottinghamshire County Council as part Cohort 15 of the National Graduate Development Programme (NGDP) for Local Government in October 2013. As part of this programme I gained a Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership through the Institute of Leadership and Management and the University of Birmingham (INLGOV) Following completion of the graduate scheme, I was appointed as a Programmer Officer and worked on Children's Social Care Transformation agenda; finding significant savings in in-house and commissioned fostering and residential services through process re-engineering, service redesign and commissioning. I was then appointed as Strategic Development Manager for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) at Nottinghamshire County Council; a more senior project manager and business analyst role where I shaped and implemented departmental strategy within DoLS (following the 'Cheshire West' Supreme Court Judgement) and other services to improve efficiency, productivity and outcomes for people who meet criteria for assessmentPrior to embarking on a career in the public sector, I worked as a contractor in financial services and in various customer service roles. As part of my undergraduate degree I worked in the Westminster office of a prominent MP and Chair of a Parliamentary Select Committee
