About Daniel Quezada

I am a recent graduate and Hodson Trust Scholar at Johns Hopkins University, where I earned a B.A. in International Studies with a minor in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies. I have a long-standing interest in international human rights-- with a particular focus the development of the rule of law in emerging democracies. My involvement in the international studies campus community at JHU earned me the Pier Larson Prize for all-around achievement in international studies upon my graduation in May 2024.While my academic coursework has focused on Latin America, my intellectual interests span the globe. As I chart a course forward from graduation, I am looking for new opportunities to apply my values and coursework toward a career in public service.

As a field organizer with the Montana Democratic Party's Big Sky Victory coordinated campaign, I am responsible for executive management of volunteer relationships and recruitment across the Bozeman area in southwest Montana, USA. In order to secure victory in one of the most closely-watched senatorial, congressional, and gubernatorial races in the United States, I am responsible for mobilizing and training volunteers to independently operate satellite campaign offices across southwestern Montana to increase voter turnout and execute an effective persuasion campaign. In this role, I and the volunteers I coordinated were successful in driving turnout that yielded victories for Bozeman-area State Legislature candidates, by margins as small as 20 votes.In this role, I additionally conducted a temporary assignment to Southeastern Pennsylvania and the Philadelphia Metropolitan Area to do ballot curing, which was successful in yielding a recount for incumbent Senator Bob Casey.

Through this experience, I built and maintained relationships with campers and their parents in Riyadh, as well as gaining cultural immersion throughout my time working in a large Middle Eastern Capital.
