About Daniel Rader
I am the Seymour Gray Professor of Molecular Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. I serve as the Chair of the Department of Genetics, Chief of the Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics in the Department of Medicine, and Chief of the Division of Human Genetics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I also serve as Associate Director of the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT) at Penn and direct the Penn Medicine BioBank. My research focuses on the human genetics and functional genomics of metabolic and cardiovascular disease, as well as the translational implications for novel therapeutic approaches.
