Hey! My name is Daniel Ramirez and I'm an IT professional, with a learning focus on cyber security. I left for Bootcamp before my 18th birthday and have been working hard ever since. I love traveling and experiencing new things, be it in the workplace or in the form of a new hobby.In the Navy, our ship had a small crew of about 300 so we all learned to wear many hats. I completed maintenance and repairs, stood watch and trained new crew members, piloted the ship and was the coxswain for the small vessel, performing boarding operations, man-overboard operations, helicopter landing, refueling, anchoring and mooring.After the Navy I started my career in IT, working as a residential Technician for Comcast. I spent my days learning to troubleshoot home networks (both wired and wireless) and running cables from the boiling attics, to crawl spaces under houses. I worked long days outside in the hot Texas summer heat and into the night, climbing telephone poles to troubleshoot precise signal fluctuations in the winter wind and rain. After 7 years, and multiple promotions, I decided it was time for a career change. I started working for a Help Desk where remote troubleshooting was our bread and butter, mainly through RDP, over the phone, or in Active Directory. I worked with home brewed applications, MFA systems, web based portals, Mainframe, Windows, and MAC. After less than a year I changed my focus to Cyber Security and started working as a Privileged Access Manager, and have been honing my skills ever since. I plan to learn as much as I can from this team, and love the work that I do. I look forward to what I can provide to this company, and can't wait to see what the future holds!
