I started my career as a QA Tester as an Apprentice were I learnt about black box testing techniques along with the skills needed for test case writing and exploratory testing. After my Apprenticeship ended I was offered a permanent role and made a Junior QA and I continued to expand on my skills. It was at this time I proudly acquired my ISTQB Foundation. As my skills improved over the years I progressed to became a QA Tester and assisted in the on boarding of new starters by doing training sessions and presentations on the software the company produced allowing me to develop a new set of skills and carrying out an important role. I was also given responsibilities such as build releases and creating test plans for those releases. My career has been primarily as a Manual QA but I have had experience writing Feature Files for SpecFlow tests and tests in Postman using JavaScript for an API. Additionally I have been using a basic knowledge of C# to convert those API tests into SpecFlow RestSharp tests.
