I have been given tasks within their design team to create Google advertisements following a brief, including brand guidelines for client companies as well as Ellison Marketing themselves.

Towards the end of my University course, I managed to secure the opportunity of working as a freelancer for Health Box, a community interest company in Cheshire. It was an opportunity to update their local community with some design flair. I was given tasks such as creating logos for projects and also illustrations for a fitness tea towel, to be used by elderly people in their own homes.As the company did not have any design based knowledge, I was able to discuss with them in group meetings how they could improve logos that were already in use. This helped me to gain confidence as a designer whilst studying, as I was able to speak in a meeting room to adults and perform quick on the spot illustrations of my ideas.

During my second year at University I was given the opportunity through four weeks work experience at Umbrella Marketing to develop my skills in the industry which developed into a job during the summer and winter. I was given design briefs that included info graphics, company logos, Google advertisements and document layouts as well as producing a high quality video for the Umbrella brand.I was involved in daily group meetings discussing what was required to develop the company further in terms of design and layouts. This included researching the company websites and social media platforms to see what needed to be improved and asking questions on the design elements which included the presentation of the products, making sure that the brand identity was to a professional standard and also the quality of their advertisements inviting people to the website.As I developed as a designer during my time at Umbrella I was given the task of helping to design company websites using Wordpress together with an Umbrella colleague.

During my time at Coleg Cambria I had a part-time job that helped me to develop as a person and gain confidence when speaking to others. I was a conference and banqueting waiter.
