Working in the Solar Calorimetry Lab with Dr. Stephen Harrison in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. In the Lab, I built piping systems and wrote test procedures to quantify the effectiveness of heat exchangers for solar domestic hot water systems.As a Teaching Assistant for the fourth-year Thermal Systems Design course. I wired, programmed, and calibrated the data acquisition systems for 20 student projects. This included the installation of thermocouples to measure temperature, pyranometers to measure direct and diffuse solar irradiation, and setting up the live online data display. I also provided design support and advice to students.
