 Responsible for inventory of beer, wine and spirits, meeting monthly andquarterly sales quotas, stocking all beer, wine and spirits Order weekly from distributors and sales representatives Create and set up displays and wine stacks; select featured wines and spirits Hand sell wines to customers; suggest and inform customers about products Set up special programming and pricing with major and minor distribution groupsto increase sales Responsible for tasting and choosing of wine, beer, and liquor to appeal to aspecialized (local) clientele Create relationships with clients to ensure repeat business and sales Be able to manage a high-grossing department individually while also being ableto work with employees in other departments in order to reach and exceed dailygoals and objectives Oversee apprentice employees in daily department operations, companystandards and goals Create Point of Sale (P.O.S.) signage for all related merchandise and displays Communicate with customers as well as fellow employees to prevent andresolve any potential conflicts in a professional manner Maintain company standards and values with a high regard for professionalism
