Responsible for stock management and store presentation, ensuring legal compliance and colleague training, management of payroll systems, absence management, recruitment and development of new and existing staff, disciplinary and grievance, customer care, accountable for store shrink (loss) and stock take, offer advice to patients purchasing OTC medication, qualified dispenser- allowing me to issue prescription medication alongside the Pharmacist, liaise with wider regional team, including Regional Manager to support other stores in terms of management cover and generation of ideas to improve the business. Provide support and coaching for fellow Assistant Mangers within the store, decision making on a store wide level to promote and ensure compliance with company agenda.

Management of the stores Admin Office, Cash Office and Security Team, ensuring the store is prepared for stock takes, weekly review of Trading Law files to ensure legal compliance, ensuring deliveries processed correctly and on time and invoices are paid and accounted for; regular review of the store P+L accounts (via SAP), liaise with external maintenance company (City Facilities Management) to ensure maintenance work is completed on budget and on time. Regular Business Reviews with the Regional Operations Manager and senior management within the store. Review of store energy reports and advice on cost saving measures. Ordering consumables and managing the consumables budget. Investigation of cash over’s/shorts, disciplinary and grievance hearings and investigations.

Management of 21 staff, maintaining shop floor standards around product availability, regular contact with head office via buyers and suppliers to source extra stock for sales drives and maintain stock levels. Planning rotas and dealing with staff welfare issues: Indentifying areas for improvement and formulating strategies to achieve organisational and section goals.
