Born in Coimbra, Portugal but grew up in Newark NJ, USA. In 1999 I attended Graphic Arts at ARCA EAC a vocational school in Coimbra, gaining knowledge in offset printing, photography, and typography which motivated me to continue. I attended Design Communication at ARCA EUAC in Coimbra winning a merit Scholarship in 2006. In 2007 I was invited to teach at ARCA EAC and later ARCA EUAC.I worked in various fields while attending college (welding assistant, mechanic, and others), gaining different work experiences that have been useful today when working in environmental projects, such as signage, stands, and others.Over the course of my 18-year career, I have acquired extensive experience, taking on projects with big responsibilities, allowing me to develop the skill set relevant for a senior designer. I’ve gained a big passion for typography which allowed me to progress beyond design, attaining experience as a typographer.I’m a proactive and hardworking professional who pays attention to detail and highly motivated by new challenges. I’m fast pace creative thinker, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn. Started working as a freelancer in 2002 as a graphic and visual designer and photographer and haven't stopped since.
