I've been working in sports development for the past 12 years both full-time and part-time. I first fell in love with the sports industry when I worked as a casual for the NRL running development programs in schools. I worked as a casual for 3 years before I was giving a 1 year full-time contract as a Game Development Officer in the Brisbane North region in late 2012, that's when I decided that I want to make sports development my career. After that I worked as a PT for Snap Fitness from 2015-2016 while I continued to work as a casual for the NRL whilst looking for a full-time job. I then found myself working for Softball Queensland in 2016 as their state wide development officer, this was a great experience and my first real taste of what goes in sport behind the scenes in the terms of competition and event management as well as governance. After 2 years at Softball Queensland, I managed to secure a position with Queensland Touch as their Game Development Officer. I have now been in this role for the past 2 years and really enjoy it.
