Dolphin II is a private equity partnership formed by Eric Jacobsen and me shortly after the sale of Home Financial Network to Sybase in 2000. Dolphin II invests in a variety of early stage companies, many of which we co-founded and provided both seed and later-stage capital. It is designed to meet the trucking industry's demand for low-cost solutions that are guaranteed to improve fuel economy, lower operating costs, last the life of the trailer and pay for themselves in the first year.

Mobile Benefits Inc. is the developer of mobile solutions designed to automate and simplify the delivery of food benefits to underprivileged women participating in the federal WIC (Women, Infants & Children) program. Our flagship product, QuickWIC, delivers real-time information on current food benefits and related health information to mothers in need through their smartphones. QuickWIC made its debut with the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma in 2017. I served as a co-founder and founding investor.

Served as a member of the board of directors from 2004-2013 and as the Lead Director and chair of the Compensation Committee from the date of company's IPO in 2010 to its sale to Total Systems, Inc (NYSE: TSS) in July, 2013. NetSpend is a leading provider of GPR prepaid debit cards and related financial services to the estimated 68 million underbanked consumers in the United States who do not have a traditional bank account or who rely on alternative financialservices.

Foundation Source is the nation's leading provider of support services for private foundations. I served as CEO during the company's formative years from 2003-2009 and remained on as Chairman through 2013. During this period, the company grew from a near inception to over 1,000 private foundation clients with $6.0 billion in assets under administration.

Home Financial Network was a pioneer in PC banking before the age of the Internet, and later emerged as a provider of a broad range of internet financial services to the nation's leading banks. We founded HFN in February, 1995, with a vision to deliver a broad suite of financial services directly to consumers in the comfort of their homes - something which today seems self-evident, but before the age of the Internet had never been done.

MECA Software was a leading publisher of personal finance, income tax and small business accounting software. MECA was best known for its two, award-winning programs, "Managing Your Money" and "TaxCut" - both of which were perennial winners of PC Magazine's coveted Editors Choice award. MECA was a pioneer in the development of online consumer finance, launching the first PC banking program in 1984, the first online stock ticker in 1985, the first online bill pay solution (with Checkfree) in 1989 and the first online brokerage application (with Fidelity) in 1991. I acquired MECA in 1987, took the company public on the NASDAQ exchange in 1990, and successfully sold the company to H&R Block in 1994.

Stanford Solar Systems was a pioneer in the nascent solar industry which I started the spring of my senior year at Stanford University. Formed shortly after the oil embargo in 1974-1975, Stanford Solar designed and installed solar hot water, solar pool and solar hot tub systems in the San Francisco Bay Area during the era when state and federal tax credits made solar installations affordable. When those credits expired and the economic foundation that sustained us disappeared, I sold the company and headed off to business school.
