Multi instrumentalist with an electro, pop, rock and jazz background, Daniel Scott is a classically trained musician and an award winning composer, music score producer, orchestrator and conductor for film and episodic productions. He started his career in advertising and as arranger, artistic director and choir conductor for the direction of french adaptations of songs for WARNER BROS., WALT DISNEY PICTURES and PIXAR films and continues to do so as he recently directed the Quebec french versions of the songs for Disney’s THE LITTLE MERMAID and this fall’s 100th anniversary release titled WISH and Warner Brother’s all new musical film WONKA.As composer, he has created music scores, themes and songs for hundreds of hours of series episodes and feature films. He is equally at ease scoring for live action as well as animation and his musical voice spans from orchestral to minimal, classic to contemporary, epic to intimate.Recent projects include SAVING ME, a witty American animated comedy adventure series created by Aaron Johnston and produced by BYUtv and Sphere Animation, INTERSTELLAR ELLA, an action adventure CGI series set in space produced by Fabrique Fantastique, Apartment 11 and distributed by Aardman and THE TOOPY AND BINOO MOVIE, an epic and poetic journey for the entire family.He has also scored the 3D animated feature film TROLL: THE TALE OF A TAIL (Soundtrack to be released fall 2023) from the animators & designers of SHREK and MADAGASCAR with L.A. director Kevin Munroe (TMNT, Ratchet & Clank, Dylan Dog).Other collaborations include Israeli director Shemi Zarhin (The Kind Words, Aviva my Love), London director Peter Dodd (Freddy Frogface, Watership Down netflix mini series) and award winning German director Andreas Hykade (Altötting, The Runt, Love and Theft).Daniel has to date received fifteen Socan, Gémeaux and Gemini awards nominations and is a five time recipient of the SOCAN Film and Television Award for his contributions to drama, animation and documentary projects and for being the most nationally and internationally performed Quebec composer.
