I am a Senior Accountant at Nationwide within the Controllership Department. Currently, I am participating in a rotational experience called the START program. At the end of this program, I will have gained experience on the Reconciliations, Specialized Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Digital Resource Solutions teams. In addition to routine operational work, I consistently look for continuous improvement opportunities. Specifically, I endeavor to automate repetitive processes using the Microsoft Power Automate platform. I graduated from Denison University in May 2023 with a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics and minor in Music Performance. In addition to this program, I took multiple elective classes in Computer Science (CS) and Data Analytics (DA) and worked as a teaching assistant in the Computer Science Department as well. Outside of the classroom, I was active in campus organization. I served the Student Body President my junior year and performed in multiple music groups including the Orchestra, a String Quartet, and the Bluegrass Band. My main instruments are the viola and the mandolin. Off campus, I volunteered extensively with the Young Life ministry and continue to do so currently. Prior to joining Nationwide full-time, interned with Nationwide's Finance Data Governance Team (2022), Raymond James Financial Services Advisors (2021), and Denison's Endowment Office (2020). These experiences have been project/research focused with a strong degree of independence, self-reliance, and financial literacy. Specifics about each of these experiences are below. During the school-year, I help student employment positions with the Career Exploration Center (2022-3), the Office of Spiritual Life (2021-2), and the Computer Science Department (2020-1).
