The 18 month programme involves two placements in the broking community and a managing agent as well as a four week induction within the Lloyd’s Corporation. During these placements I will not only gain a comprehensive understanding of the Lloyd’s working environment but I will also gain first hand experience of working within a Lloyd's broker and in the underwriting and claims teams of a Lloyd's MGA.As well as the above I will be participating in many 'soft' skills workshops such as; presentation skills, communication skills, teamwork skills to name a few. I will also be completing a Level 3 Apprenticeship in providing Financial Services and working towards my CII Certificate Qualification.

I spent my first placement of the Lloyd's Apprenticeship at Lockton Companies LLP , in the Global Technology and Privacy Practice Division where I spent 4 invaluable months learning how a Lloyd's broker operates and undertook a variety of tasks, both pre and post binding.

Here I undertook an 8 month work experience placement before beginning my apprenticeship at Lloyd's. Here I gained invaluable experience and insight into the finance sector, providing a supporting role to the financial advisors.
