Daniel is a passionate senior school educator and system entrepreneur who develops programs to instil 21st century skills in students and fellow teachers. He has extensive experience with provision of professional development for the application of technology and STEAM innovation strategies. Large proportions of his work focuses on how research guides pedagogical approaches and technological skills for young adults preparing for the job sectors of the future. Daniel’s current career centres on senior school education, in the fields of Economics and Business Studies, alongside his future learning endeavours. He is the current chair of the Curriculum Advisory Committee (CAC) to the School’s Curriculum and Standards Authority of Western Australia (SCSA) on Business Management and Enterprise education. Daniel is the recipient of the Business Educators Australasia Young Teacher Award and the Teachers Mutual Bank Beginning Teacher Award. He holds additional post-graduate certification in Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education - Visible Thinking strategies and is a Google Certified Educator. As a Global Shaper, Daniel is the current Vice Curator and former 2018/19 Curator of the Perth Hub. He has lead the Perth SOUP Micro Financing initiative for social enterprises since 2018. Through Perth SOUP Daniel has facilitated the development of over 20 youth focused social enterprises and delivered professional learning to over 100 teachers to create enterprise development programs in their schools.
