Daniel has recently started a new role as IT Infrastructure Manager at the Real Estate Authority after working closely with recruiter Daniel Heath from FIND recruitment. Daniel will be responsible for the IT Operational function and the continued development and delivery of the REA ICT strategy.Prior to REA Daniel fulfilled the role of Senior Infrastructure Project Manager at Fire and Emergency NZ focused on delivering core application solutions to users across the agency. during his time at FENZ Daniel worked closely with all areas of the business to deliver O365 functionality and process refinements aided by IT systems. Other recent roles has been the delivery lead for the WorkSafe EUC transformation program tasked with the delivery of cloud platform solutions, specifically Azure, O365 and Windows 10.Daniel had also been working within the BNZ desktop service teams delivering successful projects such as standardised meeting room technology, O365 and Windows 10. Prior to relocating to New Zealand Daniel was a member of the BP GOI Strategy and Change team, the teams main focus is to implement new and innovative technologies across BP's global estate that coincide with BP's IT&S corporate strategy.A major global project completed as part of the aforementioned team has been the 'Global Email Service' which successfully migrated BP On-Prem Exchange service to a cloud based external solution hosted and administered by T-systems. Daniel has worked as part of the core BP project team focused on delivering several work-streams, but has been solely responsible for the delivery of the unified messaging service that will provide BP with a global voice mail solution via MS Exchange and MS Skype for Business.Another major project Daniel has been a key member of was the Windows 7 Voyager Global Deployment Project which was successfully completed in December 2013. Daniel was involved in the planning of deployments across multiple sites globally. He was involved in such tasks as providing training to the local Egypt deployment team, the entire physical deployments of new machines in the BP Algeria site. The Voyager project required him to travel all over Europe, Africa and the Middle East and work with many diverse people and cultures.
