Previously working within the On-Track Plant Assurance team at SNC-Lavalin, reviewing technical documentation, testing and producing engineering conformance certificates for Road Rail Vehicles (RRV) against the requirements of RIS-1530-PLT and other international standards. Creating technical files and reviewing compliance documentation to demonstrate compliance with RIS-1530-PLT for various RRVs including Excavators, Excavator Cranes, Unimogs, Mobile Elevating Work Platforms, various Lorry bodied RRVs, Low ride Land Rovers, Kubota UTV, Kawasaki Mule and John Deere Gators, as well as in possession on-track machines such as Ballast Undercutters. Undertaking machine testing and inspection in line with the requirements of RIS-1530-PLT including:Assessing vehicle rail systems for track twist compliance, Rated Capacity Indicator (RCI) verification,Movement Limiter Device (MLD) testing,MEWP stability testingDynamic track testing. Completing consultancy work assessing vehicle Performance Level Assessments against ISO13849, EN280 compliance, EN12999 compliance, reviewing Machinery Directive design requirements, checklists and Hazard Logs. Recently taking on Network Rail Product Acceptance work on behalf of Network Rail through the Plant Assessment Body scheme.
