As the Infrastructure Manager, I directed a team of 6 and managed the upkeep of highly available WAN, LAN, and WLAN networks across 28 sites, encompassing critical infrastructure and operational technology networks. Simultaneously, I oversee the maintenance of three geographically dispersed, highly available data centres employing various technologies.My role includes the efficient management and monitoring of a Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) solution, ensuring a 24/7 response with a low Recovery Time Objective (RTO). Addressing evolving technological needs, incorporating newer technologies like SDWAN and Satellite Internet ensuring alignment with our cloud-first digital strategy.Noteworthy Achievements:• Efficiently managed data centre hardware refresh, minimising downtime and ensuring seamless implementation.• Implemented immutable storage repositories, significantly enhancing data resilience within the Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) solution.• Successfully optimised WAN connectivity solutions, integrating SDWAN and Satellite Internet for improved routing and failover capabilities.• Led the network hardware refresh, contributing to the continuous enhancement and resilience of our network infrastructure.

Puffing Billy is Australia's premier preserved steam railway, as well as being one of Victoria's largest tourist attractions seeing over 500,000 passengers in the 2017 2018 financial year. The journey aboard Puffing Billy takes you through the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, located only one hour east of Melbourne.My role at Puffing Billy holds me responsible and accountable for all IT services that the railway requires. I lead 2 full-time staff and several volunteer to maintain and continuously improve ICT services across multiple sites in geographically dispersed area. This requires high availability of services to ensure continuous IT services to staff, volunteers and the public, whilst adhering to budgetary limits and extensive governance requirements.

Highview is an Ecumenical College, offering a low cost, co-educational secondary education in central Victoria.Whilst at Highview I was responsible for the continuing development of the school's ICT infrastructure, including upgrades to power conditioning, telephony, network, and internet connectivity.On commencement at Highview, I undertook a risk assessment of the college ICT infrastructure in which a number of high priority tasks were identified. Planning and investigation works were undertaken immediately to rectified the high-risk items found. The continued successful implementation of the student 1-to-1 program to where the program with an annual rollover of devices totally approximately 170 every year on a 3-year lifecycle.In July of 2015, I planned and implemented Hyper-Converged Infrastructure using Dell and Nutanix, reducing OPEX and increasing overall virtualization performance while creating an infrastructure to future proof the college's virtualization needs.In just over four and a half years at Highview College, I delivered an incredibly reliable, stable and up to date network for all users catering to the needs of the school well into the future.

Ballarat Secondary College is a multi-campus college, formed in 1994 through the amalgamation of three existing secondary Colleges: Ballarat East Secondary College, Wendouree Secondary College and Midlands Secondary College.Whilst at Ballarat Secondary College, I successfully budgeted, planned and implemented the College virtualization project consolidating 60+ servers, saving the college thousands of dollars, in both infrastructure, power and cooling costs.A part of my role at Ballarat Secondary College was maintaining contracts with external companies, two of which where the Ballarat Learning Exchange and Forest Street Primary School.

As Contracted by Ballarat Secondary College, my role was to maintain and support the learning centres server, network and desktop infrastructure.

As a part of my role at Ballarat Secondary College the college held a contract from the Department of Education and Training Victoria (DEECD) to provide specialist ICT support to Forest Street Primary School. My role here included but was not limited to support of all ICT systems with some of the key areas being:Administrative network upgradesImplementation of Wireless in Schools(WINS) projectDEECD pilot 1-to-1 program for year 5 studentsMaintenance and support of DEECD Staff laptop programVirtualization infrastructure projectMigration from Novell to Microsoft

At IBM I provided telephone and remote support of over 70 different clients in both corporate and government sectors.A part of the role included training new staff and the timely management of mission critical incidents.
