I started working at a large leak detection chain when I was 19 years old. Within six months, I’d moved from apprentice to leak detector, building a foundation of skills in both plumbing inspection and repair. Over time, I developed my own systematic approach to detection work and began training other technicians in this style.While learning to scuba dive in order to perform pool inspections, I discovered a new passion. I took every spare moment to dive and acquire new scuba certifications. At 26, I had acquired the training and skills to teach scuba diving and moved to the Caribbean where, as a PADI instructor, I certified more than a thousand divers, managed a dive shop staffed and patronized by people from around the globe, and learned the fundamental value of life/work balance. A few years later, I was back in the States, refreshed and ready to start a business of my own, one focused on water conservation, teamwork, and an ethos of respect, professionalism, and excellence. Bullseye Leak Detection started in 2008. We grew it from a simple husband-wife set-up in our spare bedroom to what we have today: a team of 24 exceptional individuals working out of two branches, one in West Sacramento and one in Stockton.
