Function owner of Lane Keeping and Lane Centring functions, ensuring compliance to legal, technical and high quality requirements to aid customer usability. Successful delivery of Lane Assist in all 3 Bentley models to achieve ECER79 compliance. Implementation a new electrical architecture and functions to achieve GSR2, ECER79, and additional legislations, defining and achieving the quality expected by a Bentley Customer in collaboration with the Sales and Marketing and Quality departments. Cross functional working with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of the function and delivery expectations, as well as leading the system development plans with partner systems. Functional Safety reviews, V&V activities, test programme plan, implementation and completion. Varied communication techniques to deliver a clear status, for improved problem solving and with authorities on compliance demonstrations. Cross functional working with VW-group developers and partner systems to ensure accurate and timely implementation of the LKA system components. Multinational Supplier network management and co-ordination for component, software and calibration development and validation. Clear support and training to Sales and Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing and Service departments for Functional knowledge cascade and stakeholder engagement.

Close working relationship with suppliers to achieve specialist test and legislation requirements. Design and validation testing of the fuel system to system approval, including emissions requirements. Electronic integration to develop the correct parameter set for the fuel level algorithm included close working with the supplier and HMI team.

Involving liaising with the Bentley styling team, engineering, logistics, purchase, and marketing teams functions as well as suppliers across the globe to achieve and deliver prominent stylish yet functional components across the Bentley range. The role requires a good knowledge of CAD, FEA, vehicle testing requirements and people management to achieve the set objectives.Current responsibilities also include ownership of a selection of Toolkit assemblies.

The Graduate Engineer role at Bentley Motors saw me tour the key business sectors giving exposure to all aspects of being a well developed Engineer, with placements covering purchase technical support, project management, and manufacturing. However the majority of my time was spent withing Chassis Engineering covering Fuel systems and Wheels.The role required working with all aspects of Bentley as well as with other VW Group companies in developing vehicle platforms. Work includes product ability verification and design rectification, including CAD redesign. Simultaneously addressing cost saving projects and process change initiatives for improved working.

Currently working upon new products as well as developing projects, arranging testing, calibration and validation. Communicating with suppliers to meet process deadlines and rectify design and quality issues. Liaising with purchasing, logistics, workshops and other areas of the company to achieve desired business and personal objectives.

A 3 month summer placement within Chassis and Powertrain engineering department, investigating compatibility of parts across a product range. As well as maintaining checks on current builds.
