I serve as the pharmacy manager at the fastest growing Dallas area company pharmacy. I have consistently held one of the top spots in revenue and patient script growth due to strategic staffing and a primary focus on customer service that is evident in store and neighborhood reviews. I was selected as Pharmacy Manager of the Year in 2018.I currently manage 1 staff pharmacist, 9 pharmacy technicians, and numerous graduate and school interns.I have multiple school interns annually, and my location is one of the few pharmacies in the metroplex to strategically host graduate interns in order to rigorously prepare them for their career after graduation.Early in my career, I was chosen to be one of two pharmacists in Texas to be trained at the Safeway/Tom Thumb headquarters in Pleasanton, CA to be a diabetic educator. I was chosen based upon my passion for clinical pharmacy in the retail sector, and I was tasked with holding classes across Texas to help other retail pharmacists gain their Diabetes Management Certification through the American Pharmacists Association.I was chosen to pioneer the training of north Texas pharmacists on mental health medication administration. I was one the first 2 pharmacists in the region to administer Vivitrol, Abilify, and Aristada. I was then tasked with traveling to other pharmacies to train other pharmacists on how to administer these types of medications to their own patients.While I was a student in pharmacy school, I created my own Medication Therapy Management business plan that I was able to implement in multiple Walmart pharmacies in south Texas. During this time, I created a class at school that started as an elective, but it was so successful that it was subsequently pitched to and implemented in 3 local Walmart pharmacies as a business strategy.I am an active listener, and I am passionate about teaching other people. I thrive on empowering my patients and peers so that they have more confidence in their healthcare.
