Help open and close the mansion, and Washington's tomb. Give tours of Washington's historic house to 1-25 individuals at a time, lasting approximately 20-30 minutes (August-September, November-February).Posted in one room at a time and interpreting the history of the room to changing groups (October, March-July). Interpret the history of Washington's family tomb for visitors. Conduct public wreath laying ceremonies. Greet guests when they are waiting in line to enter the mansion, and separate them into appropriately sized groups.Interact with people from a variety of age and cultural backgrounds, including K-12 students and international travelers. Selected by peers to represent "new interpreters" on the interpretation committee.
