I started at OgilvyOne on a short contract to structure and build all the HTML/CSS assets for an American Express project. I was then offered a Senior Developer position after the 4 week contract. I have worked on many projects for many clients including American Express, Unilever, Zurich, Kern, UPS, British Airways, IBM, Philips and Kodak. Initially I was the lead developer for all microsite builds, developing short life microsites using HTML/CSS/jQuery. As the use of social media increased I became the lead for all social based advertising, running UPS's olympic campaign and American Express's Hidden Talent Show Facebook campaigns. I then learnt Wildfire in order to manage British Airways Facebook presence.After a few months I began to start technically leading some of the big projects with the first being the prototyping and then build of the American Express card comparison tool. this was followed up with the award winning Gnome Experiment website for Kern.Most recently I have been concentrating on mobile developments and responsive design along with learning and building Wordpress sites. At the beginning of the year I built a responsive site for Philips to provide support information for one of their shavers. I have also just launched a very large internal Wordpress blog for Unilever.

I joined Virgin Media on a short term rolling contract to rebuild their online shop and checkout. I worked in a medium sized team to Agile methods developing HTML and jQuery modules and connecting the HTML elements to the Java backend and Cognified CMS.

Moving to AOL was a big change as I went from backend to frontend development. Initially I was focused on building microsites for AOL's channels, mainly for external clients (Warner Bros, Sony Ericsson, Sainsburys, Nokia) using HTML/CSS/XML and javascript. This was at the time AOL were opening up their channels to the public rather than just to subscribers.As the portal grew and became more popular, more tech resource was required and AOL looked to India and set up a large development team there. I was tasked with mentoring and supporting the new team and instilling the highest coding practices with the developers. I then worked as a Tech Lead on projects with the team in India.

Slough, United Kingdom

I spent a year working for O2 based in their Slough office developing and maintaining the award winning VitalO2 intranet site. I was tasked with building new components in HTML and ASP and maintaining the site as a whole. After 3 months I started work on redeveloping the YourCompanion knowledge base that the customer service agents used. This was rebuilt from the ground up using ASP and HTML.

Epsom

ePerfex was project set up by myself and my fellow graduates from my degree. We created a small development agency, supported by Nescot college to provide web based solutions to both local businesses and big clients. I was a core developer on the Premier League Learning project whereby we designed and built an online training resources centre for the Premier Leagues Academy schools and colleges and I was the lead developer on the Aim Higher Surrey website build.
