I currently serve as the Chief of Staff to U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03)

*Advise the current Ranking Member of the Homeland Security Subcommittee on Appropriations Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) on issues relating to appropriations, homeland security, energy, water, foreign affairs, budget, tax, and commerce. *Oversee all legislative initiatives in the office with a focus on appropriations matters. *Develop the Congressman's legislative initiatives and manage the legislative staff. *Provide aid to the Congressman in preparation for floor debates, committee markups, and hearings. *Meet with constituents and other industry representatives concerning pending legislation and other policy/administrative issues. Legislative Highlights: *Bonuses for Cost Cutters Act of 2017 (H.R. 378): Enhances the existing program for federal employees who identify frivolous spending of taxpayer dollars. *Combating Terrorist Recruitment Act (H.R. 4820): Bipartisan legislation to counter the recruitment of terrorists. *Eastern Band of Cherokee Historic Lands Reacquisition Act (H.R.146): This bill takes specified lands and easements into trust for the cultural use and benefit of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.

*Served as an adviser to Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-4th) on a variety of issues including appropriations, defense, homeland security, energy, trade, budget, financial services, tax, labor, commerce, welfare, and the Census Bureau.*Analyzed and provide vote recommendations in the above policy areas. *Prepared speeches and talking points for Congressional floor debate, committee markups, and hearings. *Followed-up with executive agencies concerning the implementation of legislation and other regulatory concerns which impact Alabama and the country as a whole. *Met with constituents and other industry representatives concerning pending legislation and other policy/administrative issues. Legislative Highlights:*American Energy Manufacturing Technical Corrections Act: Bipartisan legislation passed by Congress and signed into law. (Public Law No: 112-110).

*Provided aid and advice to numerous veterans and current military personnel with cases involving the Department of Veterans Affairs and all branches of the military. *Represented Congressman Aderholt at numerous meetings with local, state, and federal government officials. *Served as a liaison with local chambers of commerce, economic development groups, and other local agencies. *Spoke to numerous civic, chamber, and other business groups throughout North Alabama. *Represented the Congressman at numerous other ribbon cuttings, meetings, and community events.

*Tried over 70 cases in District and Juvenile Courts and achieved a high conviction rate. *Worked with multiple judges and numerous attorneys to resolve juvenile and other family related issues in Morgan County.
