I currently work as the Turtle Beach Campground Manager and the Commercial Recreation and Tour Operator Supervisor for Sarasota County. I love that I get to impact the lives of so many guests to our beautiful parks daily. In a campground that boasts an average occupancy rate of over 90% things can get pretty hectic and no two days are ever the same. I enjoy the challenge of always overcoming new obstacles and seeing the satisfied look on the camper's faces. I also get to work with outside vendors to make sure park patrons have a great time while enjoying water sports in County parks. My office is often a minute walk to the beach or on one of our awesome waterways, not a bad place to have to go to work. My experience as a former United States Marine Corps Officer helped me to become a diverse professional that can succeed in any environment. From overseas deployments to the flight deck of a Naval Ship, I learned that I can adapt to any conditions and excel in a fast-paced and unforgiving environment. I also learned that I have a passion for teaching, coaching and mentoring as I progressed through my career. I am most proud professionally that three of my former Marines have been appointed as Warrant Officers in the Marine Corps and so many others have had long and successful careers.
