I am fully focussed on making Open Climate Fix have an at-scale impact on global climate as well as being a fantastic place to work.With 20 year experience working in energy and derivative markets trading and risk management, I have broadened my skills to the modelling of solar electricity generation. I believe renewables and in particular solar will be the future but much more work needs to happen in the modelling and quantification of the expected outcomes and the tail risks to make these commodities truly mainstream. By bringing analytics to renewables and climate change data, we can have a greater impact on climate change through open source solar forecasting & analytics, improved corporate decision making and risk minimization and lastly through influencing more informed consumer behaviour.I intend to combine my experience of software and financial modelling with the deep experience in solar modelling at University of Sheffield and the team of experts with skills in machine learning to project management to move the measurement and valuation of solar assets forwards in the UK and globally. Working with Open Climate Fix is about putting these ideas to use to have an impact on the climate, based on the idea that ideas grow and travel fastest when they are open.
