I am currently responsible for performing a wide range of general ethical and accounting support functions within the firm. These include (but are not limited):- Performing / assisting with audits, compilations and accounting officer reports for all types of industries. Investigating any discrepancies that arise within the work environment. - Compiling tax returns for all types of entities. Including a deep understanding of value added tax, emigration and estates. - Supervising and assisting other audit clerks with technical accuracy and assessing their competence on work performed within the firm. - Interacting with clients to meet their expectations and working closely with the related partners within the firm. - Performing a wide range of accounting duties and able to use Pastel, Quick Books, efiling, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power point, CaseWare. Assisting with a wide range of accounting functions.- Preparing financial statements for a wide range of entities.Before I started my articles, I also have 4 years of work experience in the finance department. My responsibilities included, but were not limited to, reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments to external suppliers and maintaining updated records of invoices and receipts.- Maintained an eagerness to add to my knowledge and skills. Assisting the financial managers with all types of duties including preparing management accounts for the monthly management meetings. - Operated the full creditor’s function and working with a wide range of employees within the company.- Processing of invoices into Pastel and processing / capturing payments for financial manager’s review.Furthermore, I worked in the bank with a diverse range of people from different cultures, I served as a friendly, hardworking, committed and punctual team player. Responsibilities included, but were not limited to, the management of day-to-day functions at the bank, maintaining high ethical standards and ensuring the quality of capturing client information in the related software / application is achieved.
