I am a Partner in the Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages (FACD) team at HKA.I have over 23 years’ experience of accounting, the last 17 of those specialising in the provision of forensic accounting in commercial disputes and financial investigations.I am a Chartered Accountant (FCA) and hold a fellowship member of the ICAEW.With regard to commercial disputes, I have been appointed as an Expert Accountant in both litigation and international arbitration, working on a variety of cases to quantity damages, review and rebut financial claims and provide accounting advice for both litigation and international arbitration proceedings both pre-proceedings and during formal proceedings. I have been instructed on behalf of both claimants and respondents and prepared expert witness reports under many arbitral proceedings rules including UNCITRAL, DIAC, ICC and LCIA.With regard to financial investigations, I have experience of both regional and cross border corporate investigations including a number of high profile investigations, both corporate and financial, insolvency and administration matters. I have proven experience on the use of computer/digital forensics and business/corporate intelligence to assist in the identification, acquiring and securing of evidence to improve the outcomes of such investigations.I also have strong experience of pre-deal SPA review and advice and post-deal SPA and completion accounts disputes.I joined HKA in January 2024 from Grant Thornton, where I had been the Head of International Arbitration from 2020 to 2023. Prior to this I was based in the UAE in the period from early 2012 to late 2019, spending the majority of this time as a Director with PwC and latterly as a Managing Director with FTI Consulting. I initially commencing my career in 2002 with BDO LLP in the UK.
