Developing a weather API and Wisuki for Android from the scratch. Actively participating in the UX and UI design. Maintaining and developing new features for both the app and the API.Key Achivements: • Processing weather forecast data from NOAA's GFS model: Processing the raw GRIB data provided by NOAA's GFS forecast model using bilinear interpolation to improve the model's resolution and storing the processed data into a MySQL database. The data is processed using multi threading to improve performance. • Developing a weather forecast API: Developing a RESTFull API in PHP providing data in JSON format with over 500000 requests per day. Used from the Android, IOS, and browser clients. • Developing a social network API: Using Doctrine2 to link the weather forecast to posts, AWS to store images and videos and Parse Server to provide notifications to IOS and Android clients. • Developing Wisuki for Android: With an average of 4.4 in the Google Play.Using MVVM architectural approach and databinding to improve consistency between the views and models decoupling them improving testability. Using RxJava for thread synchronization and API calls and ConstraintLayout to flatten the layout improving performance and giving better support for different screen sizes. Compiling FFMPEG for video editing using NDK.
