Provide scouting/sampling on roughly 8,000 acres of wine grapes, olives, and alfalfa throughout San Luis Obispo County and Monterey County. Managed 500 acres of cow calf operation through a series of irrigation techniques (Fresno valves and siphon pipes) on pastures and hay fields, as well as replaced them. Rotated two separate cow/calf herds between pastures. Doctored sick cows, calves, and bulls. Talked with local ranchers about different techniques and ideas to incorporate into the ranch for higher quality outcome and on the best products

Traveled up and down the Valley of Central California communicating precisley with growers and farmers. I would take reports of quantity and quality of the fruit leaving the field everyday. I would evaluate grades and look at the fruit and determine whether they should go to cold storage units or be ran in the main plant. At cold storage units I would figure out which bins should leave first depending on how the fruits quality holds up cold temperatures.

During High school and over the summers I worked on an Almond Ranch. At the ranch I would mow each individual row, spray the orchard with chemicals suggested by the PCA, tie tree limbs, prop trees, cut fire wood, pull out old trees with a tractor, put in baby trees, and constantly running water from wells or canal water into their system. When harvest came I would help rake almonds, knock almonds off the tree, pull sprinkler lines, and help load all the nuts into the trucks.
