I stare at, consider, dream of, talk about, and sometimes even write code.When I was eighteen months old, I could search through a CD case, pick out my favorite disc, put it into the computer, and start the game. For longer than I can remember, I have been enriched by the wealth of experience my electrical-engineering family provides. That's why, at age seven, I started pursuing programming and remain fascinated by how a bit of thinking and code can accomplish so much.Formal education only expanded my understanding of and appreciation for technology. Since enjoying my first programming classes in middle school, my interest in computers has multiplied, especially from discovering low-level details of software and hardware and how to make devices run faster while taking fewer resources. My growing enthusiasm motivated me to finish two high school senior projects (one in computer science and one in electrical engineering) and attend BYU-I to achieve my elementary-school dream of earning a Bachelor's degree in computer science. Along the way, I practiced communication and teamwork skills, thinking through and writing maintainable code, and troubleshooting when trouble shoots back.I am excited to deepen my understanding of programming using real-world applications.
