My main responsibility as a full stack software developer at Sylint is developing network security software used by internal and external customers. This software is developed with Angular and C# .NET. Some of the projects I have worked on include creating a background process manager with a dashboard. I analyzed and corrected software security vulnerabilities. To optimize this process I wrote a C# class to assemble complex parameterized raw SQL statements. I also integrated our code with external APIs including Google Maps, Shodan, and IP lookup.

My main responsibility at Viewpoint was developing Earthwork, an estimating program for construction. Earthwork is developed in Microsoft C# and uses multiple layers of triangulated surfaces to calculate the effort to shape the terrain to prepare for construction of buildings and roads.I have a continuous string of successful projects where I rapidly learned new technologies and mastered them in depth. Here are some of my favorites.I designed and implemented features to import vector data from Adobe PDF files. The code joins vectors based on distance and angle to create elevation lines. The elevation lines are used to create models of the terrain before and after a building side is altered to be suitable for construction. The terrains are compared to calculate the amount of earth moved, imported, and exported.I designed and implemented a feature which assists users tracing elevation lines on images. Tracing with a mouse is slow and inaccurate. This feature created smooth curves following lines on the image near where the user traces. Users are also able to create smooth curves by clicking two points. A preview of the curve that will be produced updates whenever the mouse moves. This feature increased speed and accuracy. One customer told my boss, “Whoever thought of this is a genius”.I designed and implemented new features to process elevation data from AutoCAD files. These features included automatically assigning elevations to lines from nearby text objects, enabling users to rapidly assign elevations to lines, and allowing users to rapidly connect line segments.

Quest solutions was purchased by Maxwell Systems in February of 2007. I was told to turn Earthwork, a construction program, into a module of the PCMX accounting software. I turned Earthwork into an ActiveX control.

I joined Quest Solutions in 2001 and was given a user training tape, a user id and a password to SourceSafe. I was told to add a list of features to Roadwork and Trenchwork, two construction programs; then I was on my own. No one knew how to build the software. No one had seen a line of the code. I learned no one is indispensable and I can step into any programming project and succeed.

I joined CA through a subsidiary Infresco. At Infresco I developed prototype applications in Opal, worked as a C++ programmer, then managed a group of 5 C++ programmers working in level 2 technical support.Opal is a Windows program that combines data from databases and mainframe computers in a modern user interface. Even though I had not programmed the code, I was selected from a twelve-person programming staff to represent our company at our largest client. I debugged the software onsite at Wal-Mart corporate headquarters. In a few hours I fixed a bug involving reentrant code. The client was very happy.
