 Established language criteria and testing procedures to assess students’ English proficiency with established Concordia bridge programs in Shanghai, China.  Managed department and project budgets. Developed and managed the Summer Global Engagement Institute to benefit incoming international students. The program included 21+ hours of English instruction per week and weekly excursions and activities to help international students acclimate to their lives at the university.  Hired and trained ELI professors and student workers to benefit ELI and SGEI programs.  Designed lesson plans and syllabi for all courses in the English Language Institute, which included Beginner to Advanced courses for Writing & Grammar; Speaking & Listening, Reading & Vocabulary; TOEFL Preparation.  Developed assessment protocols for English Language Institute’s exit criteria, including faculty interviews, timed writing assessments, teacher assessments, and administering the TOEFL ITP exam.  Taught classes in the ELI program to a culturally diverse student population intending to join classes in Concordia’s undergraduate or graduate programs.

 Design lessons and curriculum for an advanced English writing and speaking course. This includes developing activities that match course objectives, finding resources, and working with other instructors to establish continuity throughout the program.  Prepare lessons for English for academic purpose. This includes developing English lessons that deal specifically with mechanical and civil engineering.  Work with students to ensure they cover the program’s objectives, which include preparation for IELTS/ TOEFL and for program requirements established by Valparaiso University.  Work as primary developer of the curriculum for the English for Engineering in Dalian, China. This includes developing a situational analysis, developing student learning objectives, and creating student assessments and other forms of evaluation.  Work closely with the English instructors in Dalian and the engineering department to cover important student objectives in academic English and engineering principles.  Coordinate with professors and staff working at Valparaiso University to define program goals.

 Created lesson plans and organized class activities. Coordinated with instructors and students to find materials that aid in English instruction. Administered and analyzed assessments. Created a situational analysis for local schools. This included meeting with individual English programs and identifying different programs’ characteristics and environments.  Selected materials and textbooks based on academic necessity. Researched a variety of English textbooks and matched objectives to textbook features.  Designed and implemented forms used to assess students’ language abilities. This primarily focused on preparing for the TABE test and professional development.

As a rehabilitation Technician, I aid the physical therapists with leading exercises and managing patient involvement. I also am in charge of keeping the clinic clean and making orders to keep it well stocked. I also aid in front office tasks. I make phone calls, send faxes, and deal with patients' issues and concerns.
