Within this role I participate in many different functions throughout the organisation. To achieve this I attend many international forums, trade shows, product launch events, sales and dealer meetings, and major project sales meetings. I conduct weekly/monthly TC with NA, India, China, ME, EU marketing and sales teams to ensure the flow of information in both directions is continuing.Officially as a Philips Global Product manager I guide internal and external research/development teams in creating the best network lighting control system. The Philips Dynalite network lighting control system supports multiple market segments including hospitality, residential, retail, office, industry, & education. Within this role I'm responsible for conducting continues market research direct with international customers, multiple competitor analyses, industry insights, & reviewing technology advancement for application. From this I create a product specification which gives a top level description of what outcome is expected of the development team. The specification includes electrical parameters, networking capabilities, mechanical operation, allowed components, regulatory conditions, total component and labour cost. Through the development process I consult the development team and reviews all requested changes and variations to the design ensuring that they are going to meet market expectations. Once a project is nearing development completion I conduct the Market Introduction Plan. This involves creating the raw material (single lines, mechanical diagrams, product photos) for the system trainers and copy writers, prepare sales presentations, Sales training, international pricing.Ongoing to this I'm constantly monitoring the market to ensuring the products and feature sets are relevant to market needs and managing phase in and out of products and new product are created.
