I am passionate about people and helping people to be the best that they can be. In my new role as GM Apollo SDA I am proud to have the opportunity to lead a very talented team as we grow and strive to continue to be a national leader in the SDA space.Previously, as the a Director and co-founder of Rapid Building Inspections, Australia’s largest and fastest growing building inspections company I was directly responsible for building both the Australian and International arms of the business. I was also responsible for developing Rapid’s expanding teams and implementing the company’s aggressive growth strategy, including strategic partnerships and new inspection products. Prior to Rapid, I spent 15+ years in the aid and development sector designing, developing and implementing a broad range of Community Development related projects and activities including leadership development, WASH and HIV programs across more than 25 Asian and African Nations, impacting more than 150,000 direct beneficiaries. Key skills include project design, development, implementation and management, as well monitoring and evaluation, leadership development and specifically the development of remote teams. I have spent extended periods living in Indonesia, Cambodia, East Timor, Germany and England and have consulted to a number of nationally and internationally recognised NGO’s such as Opportunity International, Watoto, IGF and Global Development Group. I have also been engaged to conduct evaluations of high profile projects such as the Millenium Village Project in Kenya and to deliver lectures at the University of Queensland on Aid and Development related topics to Masters students. I hold a BA in International Studies from Deakin University and a Masters degree in Applied Anthropology and Participatory Development (Conflict and Development) from Australian National University. In addition to these tertiary qualifications I am also a qualified carpenter/joiner and am currently completing a graduate diploma in theology.
