I consider myself to be a conscientious, resilient, enthusiastic, driven individual who has a passion for team work, attention to detail and providing the best customer journey possible, I am also an effective communicator at all levels and thrive at breaking complex tasks into manageable pieces. I have previously been employed by South Wales Police as a Police Constable where stakeholder management, seeing the bigger picture and being able to rectify any situation is imperative as well getting the job done as simply and effectively as possible. In April 2020 I started my role as an Underwriter with Motonovo Finance. Which has been a move I have not looked back from. Joining the business at the start of the Covid-19 lockdown, both myself and the business have been dynamic and resourceful in conducting remote training. I have since earned my lending mandate, allowing me to lend monies to consumers. I have made myself fully aware of the business lending criteria, making sure that I am using the business’s money’s responsibly. I have been able to use skills obtained previously, to ensure a smooth and successful transition into Motonovo Finance. I had been part of the operational control team within Lloyds Banking Group on a seconded position for 6 months. During this time I was responsible for reviewing process maps, insuring new policies and processes fall within the business’s risk appetite, and reviewing and rating team managers HR and training and competency files. I had been a part of the Blackhorse New Business Process within Retail team for approximately 28 months, during this time I have successful achieved a £50k consumer decision mandate which enables me to underwrite complex finance applications for a various customer needs. I have also achieved a £100k funding mandate where attention to detail is key. Each month I lead and support the completion of Anti Money Laundering reports to ensure that Groups Policies and process are being adhered to along with a number of other administration tasks that fall within the Risk regulations. During my time with South Wales Police where I served as a constable, my day to day role would consist of attending emergency calls that were potentially life or death situations. Making arrests, solving disputes, identifying hazards and potential problems and often seek to head them off before they escalate. Using organisational skills to write reports, submit files of evidence to the Crown Prosecution Service and adhering to a chain of command.
