We launched Phyode (Now Rooti Labs) a wearable device startup, with a shoe string budget. We relied on the support of crowd funding platforms such as kickstarter to actualize our first product. We also had strong support from our manufactures that helped us accelerate our time to market. Okina Tactics was my first venture into entrepreneurship (while attending college full time). It started as a hobby of developing car parts for the make and model of my car which had very scarce aftermarket support.This experience helped me discover the group buy, and pre-order business model, where people would prepay a deposit or in full prior to taking delivery of products.
