I was brought in to consult with Wisdom Gaming from the beginning of the start-up. Utilizing my past experiences in both technology and the gaming/esports space, my responsibilities were to assess all technology needs for the company, build the IT department, hire and contract technology talent, and work with the senior management team to ensure budget and business needs were met from day one. My role grew as Wisdom went through the funding rounds allowing for the build-out of office space, a professional media studio with broadcast capabilities, a bar and a retail area all based in the Mall of America.My main focuses are now:Supporting Wisdom's physical locations as well as large remote events to ensure a secure, reliable, and reproducible technology structure for internet broadcast, event attendees, and audience. Creating a compliance-based technology department that goes above the bare minimum but also does not get in the way of creative and company goals. Hiring and training technology staff members as well as part-time contractors to work within the company standards and provide top-notch service for the employees, vendors, and clients of the company.Plan and work within a technology budget that accounts for the start-up nature while also being fiscally responsible to ensure long-term goals and needs can be met. Create and implement strategies for business continuity planning, security and compliance protocols, technology best practices, change control, incident response, technology asset aging and replacement, cloud and on-site infrastructure as well as maintenance and troubleshooting standards.

My technical background specializing in Cloud Computing, Co-Location, Office 365 and Azure along with data migration and technology planning offer a unique viewpoint to running a business. The company specialized in custom built, high end OEM computer systems. Grew revenue to 2.2 million dollars by 2005 with 11 employees. Along with the custom PC market we sponsored and ran the largest LAN gaming center in the Midwest area with our events bringing in 550 competitors from all 50 states and 3 countries to compete for CAL and MLG sponsored qualifiers and skins tournaments. We also branched out to the small business and home office market for computer support and system building.Accomplishments: Landed the cover of PC Modder magazine 10/2005 Held the largest monthly LAN gaming event in the USA for 3 years straight. Assisted in the creation of several “Modding” designs for computers that are still around today. Sponsored several events to educate local youth on the IT industry and PC industry.
