Compliance/ Marketing Assistant
My role at Coull was to assist with compliance procedures, to identify and block invalid inventory from Coull’s supply sources. I was part of the in-house team cleaning up the video ad marketplace, contributing toward the goal of making the the Coull Platform 100% fraud free. I also assisted with marketing and social media. I was tasked with a few challenges: Creating new interesting Blog posts related to the compliance side of the company and keeping company fresh and exciting by content creation and implementing digital trends. One aspect was using social media to publicise the company. Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn were the main platforms I used to promote Coull in what they could offer differently within the industry, this included tweeting articles related to the field and informal facebook posts showing the fun working environment of the team and office.
Creative Communications
I worked 6 months as an Intern for Bristol Learning city, a campaign setup by Bristol city council, working in partnership to create and promote learning opportunities for everyone, of all ages and from all communities, in all parts of the city. My role was titled ‘Creative Communications’ and was a videographer for the campaign. I had to create a series of videos called ‘Learning stories’, these were the stories of various people in Bristol, talking about what learning means to them and encouraging others to learn. This was challenging six months, we had to launch a brand new Campaign across the whole city focussed on all ages and backgrounds and get the brand out to the public eye very quickly. I contacted all interviewees by myself and edited all videos on my own, using camera skills to film the footage. I worked within a communications, Design and Marketing team in the City Hall of Bristol, which gave me the confidence to call up clients, arrange meetings, work in a large team and help launch new projects using digital trends. This helped me learn about the marketing world within the public sector, I worked very closely with the marketing team to create a new brand for the city. It improved my creative side as well, making me think outside the box when creating digital content, keeping it corporate yet creative. One of my videos ‘Bristol Girls Make It was shown in Millennium square/@Bristol centre in March 2016, it was an amazing achievement for me. You can watch the video here: http://bristollearningcity.com/get-involved/learning-stories/
Videographer
I worked 3 months as a Videographer/ SEO Digital Marketer for Make my blinds, a company supplying blinds and fittings within Bristol. My main role was producing promotion and instructional videos for the website, as well as supplying creative descriptions so that the SEO could be higher on Google. Doing this helped me learn to work to deadlines and gave me my first experience working within a corporate environment. http://makemyblinds.co.uk/
