I'm a Professor of Strategy at the Kelley School of Business, with a passion for helping individuals and organizations navigate uncertainty.I received my PhD from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Prior to academia, I earned an MBA, MAcc, and CPA. My career journey has spanned entrepreneurship, public company auditing at Ernst & Young, and serving as a Controller/CFO-for-hire for startups. This blend of academic training and industry experience inspires my research and consulting. My research leverages a combination of experimental designs employing forecasting tournaments and natural language processing techniques. It has been published in the Strategic Management Journal and has gratefully been recognized with several awards in my field of strategy including The Outstanding Dissertation Award, multiple Distinguished Paper Awards, Behavioral Strategy Best Paper Prize, Finalist for Industry Studies Association Dissertation Award, and INFORMS Dissertation Proposal Award Runner-Up.
