I have experience across multiple industries, since graduating in 2017, having earned a Bsc (Hons) Chemistry in 2017. This including my dissertation work contributing to a published paper, on which I am a co-author. After graduating I spent time working as a development chemist. I aided in the formulation of new coatings products, including developing coatings made from recycled materials and biodegradable products. in 2021 I started working for Mercure Hotels as a Night Porter, which gave me financial skills and customer service skills, as well as building my confidence under pressure. Whilst here I also took part in a journalism scheme with The Canary and have a published article with them. I now work as a Security Team Manager for the University of Leicester. Having started as a control room operator, I have now gained SIA qualifications, first aid and mental health first aid training, management skills, and the confidence to deal with the wide range of incidents me, and my team, come across on a daily basis. In my free time, I enjoy films, live music and festivals, as well as baking.
