    The Expert Group on Global Climate Obligations of Enterprises is a group of distinguished lawyers and academics from all around the world that has formulated the Climate Principles for Enterprises. These principles aim to discern what enterprises and investors are legally bound to do to stem the tide of climate change based on an amalgamation of legal sources (mainly international, human rights, environmental and tort law).For the Expert Group, I:- Researched topics including the physical effects of climate change, socially responsible investing and corporate information disclosure - Contributed to editing the 300-page commentary (published by Eleven)- Processed feedback from the Expert Group together with the Reporter- Prepared for and joined high-level meetings with external parties- Designed a website for the promotion of the Climate Principles for Enterprises using Wordpress, which I will continue to administrate (see link below).The Principles and their detailed Commentary will be launched in January 2018 at the University of Amsterdam.

    As a part of MUNOTH's first executive team, I was tasked with arranging accomodation for its some 100 participants. This involved contacting hotels to negotiate reduced tarriffs for participants of the conference and contacting students to offer couch surfing at their student dorms in The Hague. In the end, I was able to offer 35 students free housing. This helped MUNOTH achieve its objective of being a low-cost conference. I also assisted with registration, monitoring committees, filling in as the Ambassador of Jordan in the Security Council, and organising the pub quiz.
