This role required consistent work under pressure and handling of goods. My time behind the bar and waiting in the restaurant has only improved my abilities in staying calm and understanding while making sure customers feel welcome and served to with the best quality. The team was kind and made sure I was not in any situation that I felt too uncomfortable with, but still pushed to improve and better myself in the face of adversity. I worked in many ways during my time at the Talbot, from serving up food in the restaurant and preparing a variety of beverages in the bar, to helping out in weddings, whether that would be bringing out food and drink, or preparing the venue for the celebrations.
