Profile bio

About Daniel Radecki, Phd

I am a postdoctoral researcher focused on understanding signaling mechanisms in neurodegenerative diseases and how to promote and enhance cellular recovery and potentially translate these discoveries to the clinic. I have extensive experience across molecular biology techniques both in vivo and in vitro, with a continuing willingness to learn new skills and engage in new and ongoing collaborations. I have also worked to develop my business acumen and knowledge of the biopharma and consulting spaces to translate the critical thinking and problem solving skills of a Ph.D. to work in industry. Through my consulting and volunteer work, I have created and managed diverse teams to organize and develop conferences for a national non-profit, the NPA, and managed projects to address the needs of early and mid-stage companies looking to meet unmet markets needs.

Listed skills include Polymerase Chain Reaction, Molecular Biology, Western Blotting, Cell Biology, and 15 others.

I studied a novel mouse model of the neurodegenerative disease, multiple sclerosis (MS). I implemented magnetic resonance techniques on a 7T small animal scanner to analyze the progression of the disease in vivo. Also, I worked to develop, test and run behavioral testing on the mice to identify cognitive deficits in a variety of central nervous system (CNS) pathways. During this time I also maintained a breeding and experimental colony of mice for all experiments.
