Recently worked on DSV Bar Protector on the North Sea and West African coast for about 2 years.One of my primary operational functions during this time was the administration of, and the movement of large numbers of personnel to and from offshore platforms and shipping assets.Register all Arriving/Departing Crew and manage vessel Cabin Allocations. Distribute POB lists to shore on a daily basis. Update and distribute Lifeboat and Crew Lists onboard. Maintain confidential personnel records of the Marine and Project Crew including updated CVs, certification and any other qualifications Maintain and distribute Project and Marine personnel’s Monthly Time Records, Weekly Timesheets, Monthly Tax Sector Lists, dealing with salary related issues and travel expenses. Collate all relevant information, generate and distribute the Daily Project Report. Take minutes of Meetings held onboard and issue as required. Maintain the General Project and Marine filing system. Liaising with regional Offshore Personnel Logistics to co ordinate regular ship crew changes and Project related mobilisations of personnel. Co-ordinate on and off going personnel during helicopter activities when required. Maintain Regular Project Crew Rota as directed by Offshore Manager. Update and issue onboard Shift Rota for Project and Marine personnel

- Receive and transmit messages between the vessel and shore bases, supply vessels, helicopters, and other stations by radio telephone.-Operate all communications equipment in the radio room, ensure they are well maintained and operational.- Maintain a radio listening watch on marine and aeronautical emergency frequencies.- Maintain records / logs of all radio communications to and from the vessel. Keep records of telephone charges if possible.- Ensure the maintenance of all electronic navigational aids where applicable.- Test the standby radio equipment and the radio equipment in the lifeboats on a weekly basis. These tests are to include the testing of the radio room batteries.- Advise the Master of any emergency situations within the vicinity of the vessel.- Inform the Helicopter Landing Officer and Bridge of all helicopter traffic to the vessel.- Establish and maintain radio communications with helicopter traffic to and from the vessel. Advise Pilots of landing clearances, meteorological conditions, and record in the helicopter movement log.- Participate in weekly emergency drills and respond to emergency situations as per assigned duties on the Station Bill.
