As a Junior at Indiana University Bloomington majoring in accounting and finance to pursue a career in corporate accounting, I focus on being a determined, future-oriented, and optimistic leader. Determined: In high school, I was determined to become valedictorian of my class. Even when faced with the difficult challenge of being alone, I worked very hard to accomplish this goal through time management and detailed planning. Through this process, I learned the importance of not giving up on my dreams and goals no matter the circumstance or challenge. Leadership: Upon arriving at IU, I felt the desire to be part of an organization that supported and valued cultural differences, so I took the initiative to bring Latinos Unidos back, a club at IU that went dormant in 2021. I am currently VP/Chair of Communications and in charge of maintaining positive relationships with our members and other organizations. This club now provides members with opportunities to share and express their culture while being part of a family that supports and values different beliefs and ideas. I am currently a career peer to provide students with a resource to aid them in their career development process. My goal is to create a positive, fun, comfortable, and accepting environment at IU so students can have the best learning experience.I aim to use all the skills I've used from past experiences coupled with my education at the Kelley School of Business to pursue and excel in a career in auditing.
