I work with Rapid Reviews/Infectious Diseases which is an open-access overlay journal that speeds up the process of getting scientific preprints peer reviewed. I work in the medical sciences domain finding peer reviewers for each week's selected preprints and finding preprints to pitch to the rest of the team.

I work with current high school seniors in underserved areas to support them as they apply to university. The students are predominantly Latine, Black, and Indigenous, low-income, and first generation students. I review their personal insight questions and offer guidance in their writing. I answer student questions about financial aid and the programs that different schools offer to tailor to the student's future endeavors; as a team, we host workshops that discuss financial aid letters, personal experiences as students, and how to navigate higher education. I am currently working on outreach to different high schools in the Coachella Valley.

Worked on the project “Subnational Brazilian Everyday and Pandemic Politics,” conducted by Adan Steven Martinez. I downloaded and reviewed municipal publications from over 20 Brazilian municipalities in search of keywords or indications for how individual cities responded to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Undergraduate student instructor for the Molecular and Cell Biology 32: Introduction to Human Physiology course. I worked alongside a Graduate Student Instructor in order to lead discussion sections and aided during class activities during lectures. I held weekly study sessions for students and created study resources as well as learning activities to support the students.

I work with the Study of Women, Infant Feeding, and Type II Diabetes (SWIFT). I coordinate between the clinic research assistants and lab technician to ensure flow of dyad participants. I aliquot participant blood, buffy coat, and plasma samples for lab testing and assist the lab technician in setting up the lab and glucose test kits for each participant.

Researched various glycogen storage diseases that are of interest for Maze's ongoing clinical trial for an oral glycogen synthase 1 (GYS1) inhibitor). Evaluated the epidemiology, current experts and treatments, and available resources for the different glycogen storage diseases. Conducted independent research through literature reviews and database searches. Developed a hands-on understanding of the clinical drug development process from drug discovery up to clinical trials and releasing to market.
