• Assisted and helped develop multiple projects at different stages for three doctoral research economists. Based on knowledge of research topics and available data, proactively suggested further areas of development and exploratory topics.• Collected and analyzed data from various sources including Bloomberg, CME Group Real Time Market Data, S&P Capital IQ CompStat, Blue Chip Financial Forecasts, Wolters Kluwer Blue Chip Economic Indicators, IMF International Financial Statistics, and ECB Survey of Professional Forecasters to assist economists in Macroeconomic Policy and Forecasting groups for internal and external presentations.• Utilized Stata to produce weekly updates from a daily survey regarding Consumer Expectations of COVID-19 onto the Bank’s public website. Responsible for the survey distribution, accuracy of information from these models, and responses to media and research inquiries regarding results• One of three research analysts chosen to assist and organize the briefing process for the Federal Open Market Committee meetings where the research staff and bank president discuss policy strategy and topics for upcoming FOMC meetings. Properly handle confidential documents distributed to the Bank President, First Vice President, Chief Policy Officer, and Research Director.• For several months each year, collected and summarized confidential Forecasting data to be presented to the Bank President proceeding the monetary policy decision meetings. Created and updated PowerPoint presentations for research staff within tight deadlines. • Member and leader of hiring panels for research analysts and summer interns. Panels were autonomously responsible for choosing candidates among the applicant pool, interviewing candidates, and hiring decisions.
